Ace Awards

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Ace Award is presented annually to culturally diverse mid- to senior-level managers who are achieving excellence and having an impact that exceeds expectations for their employer and the company’s bottom line.

ATHENA Award

The ATHENA Award is presented annually by the KC Chamber at a reception in October. The award honors a person “who has achieved the highest level of professional excellence, devoted time and energy to the community, and, especially, opened the doors of leadership opportunity to women.”

Centurions

The Centurion Leadership Award is presented to a community leader who embodies the spirit of Centurions to Learn, Serve, and Lead. Last year's recipient of this award was Bernard Franklin.

Champion of Diversity Award

The KC Chamber values and promotes diversity because it enhances the business community and the economic development of the region through: increasing regional and global business development; expanded educational opportunities; and creating a robust community infrastructure that encourages all community members to make contributions using their special talents, expertise and knowledge.

Kansas Citian of the Year Award

The Kansas Citian of the Year Award is the highest honor the KC Chamber can bestow. Presented at the Annual Dinner in November, the award is given “only to those persons whose civic contributions and achievements have reflected the insight, creativity and consciousness necessary to build and maintain a quality urban community.”

Small Business Awards

The late Ewing M. Kauffman was the epitome of the successful entrepreneur. And the values he both espoused and lived form the criteria for selection of the KC Chamber’s Small Business of the Year. Mr. K started his career as a salesman, but the more orders he brought in, the more they cut his commission or territory.
