Since 1976, Centurions Leadership Program of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has earned its reputation as an unequaled training ground for future Kansas City leaders. Today, the two-year program has more than 80 active Centurions who join more than 1,200 alumni. Centurions are a close-knit group of women and men from diverse backgrounds, expanding personal and professional networks within the group and throughout the community they serve.

The Centurions Leadership Program spends two years exploring the opportunities and issues of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The mission of the program is to prepare a representative cross-section of the community's emerging leaders for their role in shaping the future of greater Kansas City.
The Centurions' mission is achieved by:
  1. Acquainting members with current community issues;
  2. Providing a framework for meeting other outstanding current and future community leaders;
  3. Promoting greater awareness of community resources;
  4. Exploring diversified segments of our city; and
  5. Offering avenues to become more civically involved through Centurions' projects or other civic opportunities presented to Centurions members.
